What do you use? Probably some browser with a built-in ad-blocker extension, that would explain it.
It’s embedded in the website, the website authors are responsible for it. Tor Browser just doesn’t block the ads.
See more about ad blocking in Tor:
Aside from adblockers, you may be living in a location where the website’s ad providers are not operating in, or has their network access blocked (state level internet censorship and such).
Ad networks also supply different ads to visitors from different geolocations based on network addresses.
I am using the Tor browser 15.0.3. Can you add ad-blockers to the Tor browser ?
Yes, you can install ad blocker to Tor browser the way you install extensions on Firefox, but installing ad blocker to Tor browser comes with the consequence of reduced anonymity (i.e. now you stand out among other Tor browser users). If you value your anonymity highly, you should not install ad blocker to your Tor browser.
