Despite referenced article has decent quality, Wikipedia articles in general should not be considered either reliable or official.
These articles are made by regular users and can contain disinformation and mistakes (look for example how reference [2] is marked as [user-generated source] despite being the most valuable evidence).

The site you provided(Facebook over Tor)
simply goes to a log in to Facebook and does not verify an onion version of facebook.
If you close login window and scroll down a little, you will see the same message I posted as a screenshot.
