Update of Snowflake proxy Docker image

The Snowflake proxy Docker image was last updated 8 months ago, and contains the proxy executable in version 2.8.1 (21. December 2023).

As the current version is 2.9.2 (18. March 2024), are there plans to update the Docker image? On the other hand, why is the image not updated automatically?

This issue is already being tracked at Release new docker-hub image for 2.9.2 (#15) · Issues · The Tor Project / Anti-censorship / docker-snowflake-proxy · GitLab. Although a new release was planned, I wouldn’t count on it since the work for automating the process is already in progress. It appears to have stalled for some time, and a poke would possibly help with the matter, but since there is a lot of work to do, it may have ended up down in the priority queue.

Thanks for the info.

From a security point of view, services made available to the public by users in their own networks should be constantly and quickly updated. This also applies to external modules/libraries that are used in the service.
