Tor-Nodes block specific sites?

Hello there,

Over the last months, I saw some tor nodes that block/censor specific sites. I talk about torrenting and piracy sites.

Tor does then tell me that I can’t connect to that site, I can reload the site as often as I want, but nothing changes, only when I change the tor-channel does the site load superfast again.

Are there Tor Nodes that filter what you search and block this? Or am I severely mistaken, and the site blocks the connection from the node?

However, such behaviour may be out of operator’s control - such censoring may happen because of bad ISP, but I guess people serving bad-relays mail list will figure it out.
