Tails won't boot up

Whenever I flash a tails usb, it does not boot.

Expected behavior

Tails boots up like normal

What happens

I get kicked to BusyBox with this error

BusyBox v1.35.0 (Debian 1:1.35.0-4+b4) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system

I looked into the live folder and the only thing was a empty medium folder

Tails version and extra information

tails 6.X, 7.0, 7.1

Sandisk extreme pro usb

Is this a bug or something else that someone has a fix for?

Thanks for your help.

Can you try booting the option Tails x.x (External Hard Disk) in Grub menu as documented in the following link?

If that succeeded, it means this USB disk appears to the system as a fixed disk instead of a removable disk. PSSDs, portable HDDs and some USB pendrives (more frequent with those with huge sizes) appears to the system as fixed disks instead of removable disks, and Tails by default only boot from removable disks.

For some reason there is no Tails x.x (External Hard Disk) option on syslinux but removing the live-media=removable option fixes it. So I think the only issue is on syslinux there is no External Hard Disk option.

Thanks for your help @Lind
