Is there a good way for circumvention of that?
As the site seems to be blocking all exits (I tried lots) the short answer; “no”. The site is blocking all my VPN gateway IP’s too, so it looks like they really do not want anonymous traffic.
Some sites like x.com, youtube.com etc are accessible via alternative web front ends (e.g. nitter.net or xcancel.com & invidious.io respectively in these 2 examples. You could try looking for one for SoundCloud, however, the results for a “soundcloud alternative front end” search when I did so were not encouraging.
I tried it with a free proxy (4everproxy and proxysite) and via a request from a server on the internet (GoDaddy) and it’s the same.
Tried it with my ISP IP and no jscript. It does not load the full page but I do NOT get that “403 ERROR. The request could not be satisfied.”
So it’s more than just Tor. Seems to be anything which is not just a regular ISP IP.
I have no solution. It’s a cloudflare thing.
Did it ever work?
Countless of services decide to Tor exit node IP addresses to block bots, you can use a VPN on top of TOR or Proxy, SSH tunnel with a VPS… And now obviously your activity online can be traced using that static IP after tor. Unless you know what you are doing it, there is no easy solution to prevent this.
It’s clear these services/sites suck. For example, reddit purports to have an onion site–reddit is probably just virtue signaling when it’s really about tracking/moneygrubbing—but it barely works. The home page loads, yet when you try to log in the log-in page glitches and you don’t get any further.
I tried to set up a reverse proxy from a machine that can connect, but
the scripts inside are not being updates, so some connects are still
being done to CF servers.
