Snowflake proxy 2.10.0 reports a wrong version

For your information, with the release of Snowflake proxy 2.10.0 the source file common/version/version.go still reports 2.9.2.

Thank you for creating the ticket. Next time I’ll do it myself - I forgot, I have an account myself since 2022.

I did the update (2.10) and build but first but fixed the version as per this post. Used same machine and version of GO as 2.9.2.

Now I get 5 minutes of bad offer from broker and no one can connect. Killed it, restarted 2.9.2 and its a go.

What info is need to diagnose? Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS

It’s fixed with commit 8b2e12c9.

@BobbyB What you describe has surely nothing to do with changing a string (ver). I just build the executable of 8b2e12c9 with Go 1.23 and it runs as expected.

I never said it did but since this thread was about the new version, I’m just reporting what I’m getting with the new version.

So then let me restate my post: Version 2.10.0 is not working for me as per the errors above.

As this thread was about a wrong version only, nothing more, a new one would have been better before it gets off topic again.
