Snowflake Daily Operations collects donations to fund operation of the snowflake-01 bridge. This is the March 2026 update.
Two major features are visible in the snowflake-01 bridge graphs in March 2026. The first is a major Internet shutdown that began on 2026-02-28 and has continued through the ongoing war in Iran. It is visible in an abrupt decline in user count (though interestingly, not so much in bandwidth) at the beginning of March.
In the per-country graph, we see the decline in users from IR and US (which is ufortunately conflated with IR in geolocation).
The second feature of the graphs of March 2026 is new blocking in Russia, apparently having to do with DTLS fingerprint. (DTLS is a component of WebRTC, on which Snowflake is based. Snowflake clients speak the DTLS protocol when they connect to their Snowflake proxies.)
