Users of the snowflake-01 bridge underwent a slow and steady rise through August 2026. It was punctuated by a 1- or 2-day spike on 22 August. The cause of the spike is unknown.
In the per-country graph, we see that the spike is entirely attributable to the “??” pseudo-country that appears in metrics when the user’s country is not provided or cannot be found by IP geolocation lookup.
Bandwidth use decreased by about 18% in the last week of August.
