Snowflake Daily Operations collects donations to fund operation of the snowflake-01 bridge. This is the August 2025 update.
The biggest event affecting Snowflake metrics in August 2025 was an outage of the snowflake-02 bridge from 2025-08-02 to 2025-08-13. The outage had a spillover effect on the snowflake-01 bridge. Therefore, the graphs in this update will include both bridges, even though only the snowflake-01 bridge is supported by Snowflake Daily Operations funding.
Before the beginning of the month, we still see a notable contribution from the “??” connections that were observed in July 2025. Then, on August 2, we see a sharp increase as the snowflake-01 bridge absorbed some of the users of the snowflake-02 bridge that had gone offline:
After coming back online on August 13, the snowflake-02 bridge quickly returned to normal levels of users, and the increase in snowflake-01 subsided. The bandwidth graph is similar:
The outage affected different countries similarly. The number of users in Turkmenistan is still notable, though lower at the end of the month than at the beginning.
