i am only using tor as a client and i have only seen this using cor-tor NOT tor-browser.
this has been going on for awhile now, tor switches the entry guards you use every 3 months i believe by default and it has been about a month since i switched to these two.
and when i look at the network traffic on my LAN, my computer is constantly letting the entry guards know that the tcp checksum they just previously sent me, are incorrect.. is this normal or could this be malicious? please let me know and depending on what i hear from you guys i might contact the tor project directly.
i kept the info regarding what relays these are private because i do not know if it could be malicious or not, i see this happening constantly, the whole time i am on my computer, and never saw it before, and people doing malicious things will try to get any piece of info in any way.
to be more specific, the volume of traffic to these entry guards is normal, and consistant, when i am not sending any traffic through tor but connected. so every min or so my computer and the entry guards send some data to each other just because i am connected to tor, and its always when those tranmissions happen is when i see my computer tell the entry guards “cksum incorrect”
any help is appreciated please let me know if you think i should contact tor project directly
