As some of u know changing noscript settings is not recommend even if u increase it’s security because it makes u unique among the other tor users. However, is it bad if I use security level “safest” and change some settings for specific sites temporary because many sites need javascript? I heard it is not recommend using safest level because not using javascript makes me unique too/only a few tor browser users use safest. Some sites also don’t like safest level so I use safer level (like my email provider website), it that bad?
I really have no idea which setup and configuration I should use. I am not an expert so I will listen to recommandations from experts.
I think the best way to use Tor browser is to restart Tor browser before you starts doing another thing. So you shall, for example, use “Safest” to read a few blog posts, and then switch to “Safer” to check your mailboxes.
It’s not recommended to use “Safest” and then allow some features in NoScript manually, as that makes the fingerprinters found a “weirdly configured Safest Tor browser”, also that configuration may persists even after changing security levels, making your Tor browser’s fingerprint consistently differs from (thus easily distinguishable from) other Tor browsers.
If you need WASM I think you have to use Standard security level, because there’s no place for you to click to enable WASM on the website…
Also some media websites (like peertube) load one video from multiple sources, so it’ll take dozens of clicks for it to play correctly. I’d just use Standard security level if I’m going to watch videos.
