I also use Wireguard on Android and orbot and Wireguard do not play nicely together at all. If I first shut down Wireguard then activate orbot, then sometimes I can get orbot to function. If I forget that process, or try and switch back and forth (for example to get around sites that block tor) then things get messy. Sometimes I lose all internet connectivity until I go through multiple iterations of turning both orbot and Wireguard off and/or cycling either or both.
Considering the (unfortunately growing) number of sites that block tor I would recommend better detection inside orbot of other active VPNs and for it to refuse to connect when one is on, and/or offer to turn the other off.
