New Alpha Release: Tor Browser 11.5a11 (Windows/macOS/Linux)

Tor Browser 11.5a11 is now available from the Tor Browser download page and also from our distribution directory.

This version includes important security updates to Firefox.

Tor Browser 11.5a11 updates Firefox on Windows, macOS, and Linux to 91.9.0esr.

We use the opportunity as well to update various other components of Tor Browser:

  • NoScript 11.4.5
  • Tor 0.4.7.7
  • OpenSSL to 1.1.1o
  • Tor Launcher 0.2.35

Tor Browser 11.5a9 still says it is up to date.

Hi @rngrh344e, have you tried manually checking for updates via “Tor Browser > About Tor Browser”? If so, did you remember to connect to Tor first?

Firefox (and as a result Tor Browser too) will return a result of “Tor Browser/Firefox is up to date” when it can’t actually reach the update server – as technically speaking, no update has been found.

i always update manually. i tried to update several times using new idendity and restarted TBB11.5a9.
the new version is from May 20, 2022. the blog anouncement was added yesterday but
there is still no update available.

I’m having the same issue on Linux.

Running 11.5a9 but it shows no update available when I go to About Tor Browser.
