Iranian IP using Orbot

Hi
Using Orbot ( but no Onion browser ) direct connexion,my IP is always located in IRAN /teheran .
Even if I change nodes or uninstall and reinstall Orbot ,my IP still in Téhéran
Thanks

This just sounds like Orbot is just not working. Are you in Iran? Check if the IP is the same with your real IP.

I was in Iran some months ago .
Using Orbot now in Europe with Google connected to my Google account give each Time an Iranian IP location
But when I use Orbot with Google disconnected to my Google account ,the IP location is not in Iran / Tehran
When I Check my connexion on Check Orbot everything seems ok

Well, then the “problem” seems to be with Google, looks like it simply remembered it. Is it the only source of information about your IP address? What does https://whatismyipaddress.com/ say?

Well after several checks it seems that the location in Tehran persists when I also disconnect from my Google account. On the other hand checkmyIp locates me elsewhere but there is also a problem since the location remains the same while I restart and regularly change the nodes on Orbot.

Disconnecting from the account doesn’t clear all Google data from your browser. At least use “private mode”.

What platform are you on? Is it Android? If you are on Android, I believe it is impossible to fully disconnect from Google.

In any case, Google uses multiple methods to determine your location, not just your IP address. You have to both wipe its access to your old information as well as force establish your new location. You might be able to get some ideas from this post aimed at PC users, How to change where Google thinks you are.

My curent location is not in Iran …
But I’m still located in Iran in any case or configuration.

So is Google the main problem ?

I wouldn’t call Google a “problem.” It’s just that they have marked your account and/or your device as being geographically in Iran, and it will take much effort to get them to un-mark it and then re-mark it in a new location. While the link I gave is for PC users, you might be able to pick up some ideas from it.
