Increased max relay bandwidth

Hi, as the title says I’ve just increase my max throughput, roughly tripling it. How long till these changes take effect?

Tor metrics glossary:

advertised bandwidth: the volume of traffic, both incoming and outgoing, that a relay is willing to sustain, as configured by the operator and claimed to be observed from recent data transfers.

If your configured bandwidth is not reached after Tor daemon restart or SIGHUP signal your relay hasn’t seen more than [bandwidth] recently.

The six directory authorities that measure bandwidths run new bandwidth tests on your relay every week or so each on their own schedules. Within a day or two if you look at your relay’s entry in the detailed consensus health list you’ll start to see each of the six bwauths pick up the new bandwidth.

Your relay’s consensus weight is always the third lowest entry of all six. So your consensus weight will increase as soon as four out of the six have a new measurement. Actually, at the moment longclaw seems to have dropped out of the bandwidth measurements, so you need three of the remaining five to have made new measurements.
