Help debugging seemingly unstable relay

In response to the call for webbridges I’m trying to deploy one, I’ve got it up and running and have tested it myself (using the Bridge line in Tor Browser) and confirmed that it works.

This is the bridge: Relay Search

My problem is that occasionally when I check the status on metrics.torpoject.org it sometimes shows as offline (I assume this is why I don’t have a stable flag yet). When this happens - nothing shows in the logs and when I test it it works.

And to be clear - right now it says uptime is > 2 days but I’ve seen it show as offline/red multiple times in the past two days.

So I think some external validator is causing this - but I don’t know what to check, can someone point me in the right direction?

If relevant, I see this in the logs:

Dec 05 07:24:49 tor Tor[9390]: No circuits are opened. Relaxed timeout for circuit 1734 (a Testing circuit 3-hop circuit in state doing handshakes with channel state open) to 60000ms. However, it appears the circuit has timed out anyway. [11 similar message(s) suppressed in last 7440 seconds]

and

Dec 05 08:44:43 tor2 Tor[9390]: Heartbeat: Tor's uptime is 2 days 0:00 hours, with 0 circuits open. I've sent 16.28 MB and received 75.03 MB. I've received 4 connections on IPv4 and 0 on IPv6. I've made 123 connections with IPv4 and 0 with IPv6.

What should I check next?

Your bridge is functional: https://bridges.torproject.org/status?id=0769034C6C3A974A3E673DEFE2469FD294EC80CB

metrics will always flicker for now, if you do not expose your ORPort, which is recommended.

additionally in the past 2 days something was broken and debugging on your site was not helpful at all…

Thanks!

So basically don’t worry about it occasionally showing as offline, just be patient for usage to pick up over time?
