Today IONOS announced that their VMware based Virtual Server Cloud VPS will be discontinued due to “technical reasons” (totally not because of rising costs cough Broadcom cough and falling stock prices) at the end of next month.
At the time of writing, there are 173 realys (155 running and 18 offline) on IONOS (AS8560), many - if not most - of which are likely running on affected servers.
IONOS does offer KVM-based VPS servers as a replacement, but the migration has to be done manually, so I highly recommend backing up the data directories and private keys of said servers before August 31, 2024, the sooner the better.
If no action is taken before that date, any relays that have not been either backed up or migrated to new KVM-based VPS servers or other hosting providers will be lost.
I hope that this will reach those who are affected.
Cheers
