Type about:tor in the url bar and you should be greeted by our homepage (Year-end campaign banner reading, in bold, ‘Privacy is a human right’). You can see the version of Tor Browser you’re using on the top right just above ‘View changelog’.
Alternatively, you can navigate to the hamburger menu, then to ‘Help’ and click on ‘About Tor Browser’ for the same.
Thanks for the confirmation @ttttt! Could you try logging into your email again please (or visit any other page that reliably resulted in a crash before), and let us know if the issue persists?
I don’t meet the problem since the last update, but it was random (only some days were failing, but when it was failing impossible to use before a long time). If I meet the problem again, I will say it here. Thank you
Oh, great to hear! Sounds like it was indeed the Windows tab crashing issue you ran into. This got patched in version 11.0.3, so you should be good to go
Hello, I’ve the same problem with a fresh copy installed in my Windows 11 64bit 23h2, the version of tor browser is 13.0.16 , has anybody a solution ? I’ve already remove old version and installed a fresh copy.
Thanks in advance
@eliosbrocchi hi!
This thread was especially for a use after free problem we solved in 11.0.x, so your problem is probably a new one.
This tab appears generically when a content process dies for some reason.
Could you please open a new thread?
Also, I tried to run 13.0.16, but on Windows 10, and I didn’t have any problem. I will try also on Windows 11.
But in case, when opening the new thread, could you please give more precise steps to reproduce? E.g., does this happen before connecting? Or after connecting? Does it happen when trying to open about:tor? Does it happen when you open a specific site? Or does it happen when opening any site?
Thanks in advance!
