Forum onion service slow

Just thought to mention that the onion service (v236xhqtyullodhf26szyjepvkbv6iitrhjgrqj4avaoukebkk6n6syd.onion) provided for this forum is slow, sometimes taking tens of seconds to load a single page. This should be investigated.

Thank you

Yes, it can be slow to load up the website, and sometimes I switch circuits if it takes too long. fortunately, once the forum page loads up, switching between forum posts is quick by comparison, at least for me.

An update. Performance does seem somewhat better now. However according to browser tools loading a forum topic after initially loading the forum takes ~2.5 seconds over the onion-service while for clearnet access (over Tor) it takes a few hundred milliseconds for the same operation.

Thank you

Onion services usually use 6 hops, while clearnet access uses 3 hops. This difference may explain slower speeds.
I read somewhere that onion site can be tuned to use 3 hops as well, but I doubt this forum have such feature enabled.
