Since 14 days I’ve been hosting a middle relay which according to metrics.torproject.org is up-and-running, valid and fast.
Currently it’s has the most basic setup with ORPort 443 and Debian as OS.
I was wondering if there are extra measurements or configurations often done by operators to make the relay more secure or performant? Do you use some kind of monitoring system to detect attacks? Do you have a firewall configured? I guess a firewall is not very useful since only port 443 is listening? …?
