This is not an authoritative answer but I’m saying NOT. They must be smart enough to declare zero swap space when launching Linux.
The few times I used Tails just to see how it works, I remember it doing a memory wipe when shutting it down and remember reading that nothing is stored on USB.
Tor does not use a cache like Firefox does and as discussed in a thread here (which I participated in), it was stated that everything works from memory and there is nothing to worry about a forensic search of a laptop disk.
I was wondering the same thing of Tor on that laptop running Windows where swapping is not under Tor’s control and Windows is not started with zero swap space. I assumed again that they are smart enough to have thought of that.
