Hi everyone, I’m new to the Tor network.

Why do most onion websites use static page design instead of dynamic page technology? Does dynamic page technology reduce the anonymity of the Onion website?

Do you mean AJAX? I have several guesses:

  1. Owners of onion websites are frequently individual users or small companies compared to large companies in clearnet. And because it is easier to make static page, they select such option.
  2. Tor is more laggy than clearnet and dynamic content is more sensitive to lags, than static content. The owners want the site to be more stable.
  3. Many darknet users are scared of Javascript. Owners do not want to lose some users because of this reason.
