DeviantArt.com is not accessible

Hi guys. I have a problem to connect to https://www.deviantart.com/.

I’m so sorry, but english is not my language…

Last years this site tried to block any activity from tor users with error 403. But changing tor circuits or bridges helped.

And few days ago (may be two weeks) DeviantArt fully blocked any ways to access… (Other web-sites works normally).
What i tried to do:

  1. Reinstalling browser
  2. Changing tor circuit for this site (100+ times)
  3. Tap “new identity”
  4. Tried ALL available bridges: obfs4, snowflake, webtunnel, meek-azure and request bridges.
  5. Tried all security levels.

Linux mint 22.1 + tor 14.5.1 and tried older versions.
What can i do?
And error from screen:

403 ERROR

The request could not be satisfied.

Request blocked. We can’t connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner.
If you provide content to customers through CloudFront, you can find steps to troubleshoot and help prevent this error by reviewing the CloudFront documentation.

Your English is fine.

Bridges would not help here, because the final connection is performed through exit relays.

Indeed I am getting an impression that this is just a complete block on Tor.

Depends on what your goal is. If it is to use the website through Tor, I am afraid there is not much you personally can do (unless I’m missing something).

In case you just want to visit the site, but it’s blocked by your ISP, then use a different censorship circumvention method, such as a VPN.

Just to add to @WofWca’s excellent answer, one other option if your use case is read-only - i.e. you just need to read the site and not interact with it: Use an archive service which is accessible via Tor Browser to save the home page and then ‘navigate’ the site by archiving any links you are interested in. I see this particular site is heavily archived already on web.archive.org, for example. I have used this approach quite successfully on news sites that block Tor.

On the VPN approach, I did a quick test with Riseup VPN and did manage to connect to the site through one gateway (others were blocked, like Tor). Riseup’s VPN app is free, open source and available for Linux. A VPN does not offer the same anonymity benefits as Tor Browser, but if your goal is just to hide your IP address from the site owner this may be an option worth considering. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Riseup, I’m just a user of their app.

Thanks @WofWca & @Noino. Unfortunately i can’t use VPN, it’s absolutely not safe in my network. Only TOR. And i forget to say, many users of DeviantArt who uses VPN have the same problems.

Yes, i have the same feeling.

And unfortunately InternetArchieve can’t show many of DeviantArt pages, because you need to be logged in.

As i can see DeviantArt is no more accessible anonymously… That’s all what i wanted to know, thanks.
