Design Issue in Tor Browser Alpha

Heyoo! This is my first post sending feedback.
So it’s a design issue in Tor Alpha where the tab controls are just not rendering

(you can see the three squares on the top right corner) .
I’m running Tor on Windows 11. Hope this gets fixed.

Also Tor Alpha on Android crashes every time I try opening a link (while being set as a default browser) and, though the option exists, I cannot sign into my Firefox account for some reason. I know signing in nulls the whole anonymity thing but if I’d have to main Tor browser I’d like it to save just a lil bit of data and sync.

Along with that I feel like the connection has become slower than the stable version of the Tor Browser, on both Android and Windows. I will be testing the Linux version very soon hopefully.

Anyways, cheers!

Welcome to the forum @aa11bb22cc33, thanks for the feedback.

What do you expect to see - have you tried to open multiple tabs here? We’ll need the version of Tor Browser you are using (16.0a2?) and a list of the steps required in order to reproduce the behavior you are observing.

As this issue affects Alpha and does not appear to be Tor Browser-specific functionality, it would be helpful if you could verify whether or not this behavior occurs on your system with Firefox. Tor Browser Alpha is currently based on Firefox 147.0a1. It can be downloaded from here: Firefox Nightly 147.0a1, See All New Features, Updates and Fixes .

it’s the native (win32 widget) titlebar controls (maximize/minimize/restore/close) - TBalpha is currently based on 147.0a1 beta - and there was an issue/regression with windows (at least on windows 11) - see bugzilla 2002986 so that may be related

Hello hello :D!
Thank you so so much for the welcome and I appreciate your reply.

I am on the latest version of Tor Alpha.

This behavior doesn’t appear on the stable version of Tor Browser though.

Here’s a screenshot of Firefox Nightly, as you can see in the top right corner the tab controls are there unlike the Tor Alpha’s buttons which has the squares.

did you mean in stable? Because here’s my nightly (which was based on 146 beta) and updated just now to 147 beta - both have the issue. PS: they’re not tab controls - they are window controls
