Hi
I actively contribute to different aspects of the Tor Project on monthly basis. Mainly Arti, the website (tpo, lego, donate-neo,…) and am about to get started with Lox (requires Lox-repo itself, and the rdsys-repo).
Currently a contributor is limited to fork a maximum of 5 repositories. But Arti and Lox already require three repositories, meaning I only have two slots left for forks of the web repositories (and those repos often require the lego-repo, so actually I can only work on one web-repo at a time).
The current limit of allowed forks is becoming a impediment. I have to delete forks if I want to switch to another project – which is impossible if I have work in progress on multiple forks because I’d lose my branches and progress.
So I am wondering if we can consider raising the limit for the amount of forks for (active) contributors.
