This is on Tor 0.4.8.10. I get messages like this repeatedly from my own connections:
Jun 14 23:20:37.000 [warn] Detected possible compression bomb with input size = 21211 and output size = 693552
Jun 14 23:20:37.000 [warn] Possible compression bomb; abandoning stream.
Jun 14 23:20:37.000 [warn] Detected possible compression bomb with input size = 25374 and output size = 768784
Jun 14 23:20:37.000 [warn] Possible compression bomb; abandoning stream.
So currently I can never connect, even if I restart Tor. I am running an HTTP server. This has happened twice in the past six months. Usually I have no problem connecting.
Edit: I deleted the state
file and then it was able to connect. But is that not usually a bad thing to do?
