I installed tor on kali linux, but I can not launch it using tor -f torrc. Tor works on the same computer with came torrc as daemon, but I need to launch it as command. When I launch tor as command, it stops working on Delaying directory fetches: No running bridges.
I have more or less the same problem.
in my etc/init.d/tor (sysVinit) it include another file /usr/share/tor/tor-service-defaults-torrc that load other settings. look if your daemon is not loading something extra.
I am not launching tor as daemon, but I waited few minutes and tor connected successfully.
