Building a privacy-first decentralized messaging app — looking for community feedback

I’ve been developing a P2P messaging and social app built from the ground up to minimize data footprint: identity based on a cryptographic key (no phone or email required), fully E2E encrypted chat with no AI scanning, decentralized signaling, and voice calls always routed through a self-hosted server so no one’s IP is exposed.

It’s a self-funded project, no investors, planned for a closed beta launch soon.

I’m not sharing the name or link yet — I’d rather wait until everything is ready to avoid someone registering the domain or trademark before I do. But I wanted to start introducing myself here and hear what this community specifically cares about in an app like this — what would make you trust (or distrust) something presented as “privacy-first,” and what feels essential before you’d try it.

I don’t want to discourage you, but there is already such a messenger called Session.
It is open source and uses a distributed onion network (similar to Tor Network).

And even with session it’s also seeking funding so I think it be pretty hard to start a new service yk.
