The official Tor Project documentation recommends against using any add-ons other than those pre-installed with TBB. These links provide the rationale:

> **[PLUGINS, ADD-ONS AND JAVASCRIPT | Tor Project | Tor Browser Manual](https://tb-manual.torproject.org/plugins/)**
>
> Defend yourself against tracking and surveillance. Circumvent censorship. | PLUGINS, ADD-ONS AND JAVASCRIPT

> **[ANTI-FINGERPRINTING | Tor Project | Tor Browser Manual](https://tb-manual.torproject.org/he/anti-fingerprinting/)**
>
> הגנו על עצמכם מפני מעקב וציתות. עקפו צנזורה. | ANTI-FINGERPRINTING

The add-ons available with TBB may differ from the add-ons provided with TBB by the TAILS OS but this is because any additional add-ons available with TBB on TAILS have already been tested by the TAILS devs, prior to being included with the browser.
