# Tor browser no connection with bridges

When reporting a bug, please include as many of these as possible:
- Tor Browser version -14.0.1
- Tor Browser Security Level -default
- Step by step…
The browser doesn’t connect to the internet with all bridges
When i’m ordering a new bridge i get always the same capture: “freedom”.
Is it right?
Anyway. To get connected with the net I have to shutsown tor with bridges
Additionally I have to kill the process in htop. If not , my cpu 's on laptop work with frequenzy 100%. After that i can start the browser without bridges and get connected.
I have installed a new tor for 2 days ago.
I dont understand how to send a screenshot here.

- What country/region are you in? obfs4 bridges got from BridgesDB or within the browser may not work in certain regions. (the freedom captcha is probably the same everywhere)
- Try contacting [frontdesk@torproject.org](mailto:frontdesk@torproject.org) to get some bridges. Such bridges are distributed less widely and thus are less likely to get blocked.

Hello again,
- What country/region are you in? obfs4 bridges got from BridgesDB or
within the browser may not work in certain regions. (the freedom
captcha is probably the same everywhere)
-Norway
I dont think other kind of bridges solve the problem.
I get get connection to the net without bridges.
With bridges i dont. But my cpu are running with full frequency.
They dont stop after i shut down the browser.
I have to kill the process in htop directly.

Can you share your Tor logs?
- To copy your Tor logs on Tor Browser Desktop, navigate to the hamburger menu (“≡”), then click on “Settings”, and finally on “Connection” in the side bar. At the bottom of the page, next to the “View the Tor logs” text, click the button “View Logs…”. Please copy all of the lines and share with us here.

How are you installing Tor Browser? Have you followed the steps mentioned in [INSTALLATION | Tor Project | Tor Browser Manual](https://tb-manual.torproject.org/installation/) or ?
The screenshot from `htop` doesn’t particularly reflect that the `tor` process or Tor Browser is responsible for the high CPU usage.

Hello,
I’ve tried to copy and paste these two one after another
in separate lines.
Before i did the same procedure with the bridges from your mail 03.11.24
It doesn’t work. After I press the button “Next” to paste the
bridges, I get a fail return because of not properly formatted input.
Also the cpu’s running with high frequencies again. A lot of memory is
busy or reserved.

There is also the same issue with Brave browser which I use normally.
The connection stops if I use a private window with tor.
The same is true for used bridges.

The redirection of tor browser to its german edition happens with all of
the other browser on my pc inclusive links 2 and lynx.

From the Tor logs you have shared, it seems Tor bootstrapped just fine.
