SirNeo via Tor Project Forum:
I agree with the health of the network and with the ban of ATOR. I understand very well why TOR did this but i don’t agree with the moded they did.
- ATOR relays started 5-6 months ago and the health team could contact the admins of relay to explain is not ok to asociate, bla bla. I think having a template and seding it from time to time to people who supported ATOR would be good. Letting them to reach 10.000 relays and 13+ Gbps of traffic and bannind them is bad.
It’s not been clear from the beginning that the association was bad, in
particular as we’ve been in contact with that project. So, I think your
idea does not fit well to the situation we were actually in.
- Before modifying my relays contact to reflect ATOR apartence i asked on forum if is a good ideea but nobody approved my thread. This looks like obfuscation/censure and is contrary with TOR purpose/beliefs ATOR - legit or not - #5 by Vort
There is nothing about obfuscation or censorship involved here. The
delay was only due to organizing a coherent response both internally and
externally, and taking legal and PR related concerns among others into
account.
