## Changes and updates

- Change the home page of _Tor Browser_ in Tails to an _offline_ page, very similar to the home page of _Tor Browser_ outside of Tails, instead of an [_online_ page from our website](https://tails.net/home/).

- Improve the message when an [administration password](https://tails.net/doc/first_steps/welcome_screen/administration_password/) is required to open an application but no administration password was set in the Welcome Screen.

- Update _Thunderbird_ to [140.3.0](https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/140.3.0esr/releasenotes/).

- Remove the package `ifupdown`.

## Fixed problems

- Hide the message "_Your connection to Tor is not being managed by Tor Browser_ " in new tabs of _Tor Browser_. ([#21215](https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/tails/tails/-/issues/21215))

Hi guys,

the version in [https://tails.net/install/v2/Tails/amd64/stable/latest.json](https://tails.net/install/v2/Tails/amd64/stable/latest.json) is still 7.0.

Please update that file to get the latest sha256 sums.

Thanks

Hello, dear developers! Tails 7.0 and 7.1 freezes when loading. Version 6 worked fine.
My laptop is an HP Pavilion dv6 with 4GB of RAM and a 64-bit operating system. The processor is an AMD Phenom II P960 Mobile QuadCore, 1800 MHz (9 x 200), the graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series (256 MB), and the BIOS is InsydeH20 Setup Utility Rev. 3.5.
