Good afternoon. I have a question about how to create an anonymous YouTube account. As anonymous as possible. I’m having problems at the registration stage. I’m new to cybersecurity, so I’m probably doing a lot of things wrong. I created an account using a Proton Mail email in the Whonix system, but to create a YouTube account, you’re required to scan a QR code from your phone — and that would make it completely non‑anonymous. Could you please tell me if it’s possible to bypass this kind of verification using a virtual Android space or Blustack (an emulator)? I’d also like to ask which is safer to use: a virtual machine with Whonix or the Tails search engine. I’ve only used Whonix so far, and, in principle, I actually liked the virtual environment. I’d be grateful for any response from the professional community.

short version: google account + strong anonymity dont really mix. if they demand a phone QR, that phone number (or the device that scans it) is tied to the account. blueStacks / android emulators usually still fail that check or look even fishier.

there isnt a clean “bypass” that stays anonymous. people who need less google linkage just dont use youtube logged-in, or use the site logged out over tor, and accept the limits.

whonix vs tails: different jobs. whonix is a persistent workstation behind a gateway vm (what you already like). tails is amnesic live usb, leaves less local trace, different threat model. neither fixes googles phone gate.

dont scan the QR with your personal phone if anonymity matters. that kind of kills the point.

I guess technically you could try Bluestack, I’m not really knowledgeable about it though. But I could see it potentially working.
